Let us think of education as the means of developing our greatest abilities, because in each of us there is a private hope and dream which, fulfilled, can be translated into benefit for everyone and greater strength of the nation..................John F. Kennedy

Welcome to Home Instruction Schools
Message from Ramona Pizarro,
Principal
It has been six months since I took the helm of Home Instruction Schools and it has been an extremely busy and exciting time. At this time I am happy to report that our program is continuing to run effectively, due largely, to the commitment of our highly dedicated staff.
The professional development seminars, such as CCLS, Alternate Assessment, and Achieve 3000 are showing excellent results and have brought new enthusiasm and motivation to our teachers.
It has been my privilege to meet with so many of our teachers and see them inspired to learn new things, help each other and work together as one to provide the best instruction to our students.
Home Instruction has always been a unique program. Our teachers’ job is not only to teach. They are also advocates and mentors to their students. Student/teacher relationships are best when they are based on trust and mutual respect.
It is my goal that we continue to work hard and bring everyone up to a highest level of teaching and professionalism we can achieve. The children need it and most certainly deserve it.
Together, we can provide our children with the help and resources they need during the difficult times of illness and emotional difficulty. "According to this conception, the sole function of education was to open the way to thinking and knowing, and the school, as the outstanding organ for the people's education, must serve that end exclusively."
Albert Einstein (1879-1955) German-Swiss-U.S. scientist.
Sincerely,
Ramona Pizarro,
Principal
